Well, I finally am doing it. I am taking all of my years of experience and education (both formal and self-taught) and I am combining it with my passion for homemade décor. I work in salvage, rustic, vintage, steampunk, urban, bohemian and farmhouse styles. That’s a mouth full!
But it’s true, I LOVE them all. I love them even more when there are elements of each style in one piece. Ohhhh yeahhh. This my friends is Futurology and it is the crème de le crème when it comes to the perfectly unique re-purposed down to earth chippy-licious décor piece.
My goal is to provide something new and unique. My pieces feel familiar but are different. No two pieces are identical and each item comes with its own number to show authenticity. When you buy a piece from Futurology you are getting something truly brag-worthy. The local moms from the PTA, book club or neighborhood clique will be envious of your statement pieces from Futurology.
You see, there is a lot of great stuff out there waiting to be found, but let’s get real, who really has time for that? I know you are all out being fabulous boss-women and now Futurology is your go to source for all things unique. I am your personal décor guru. If you love all things chippy, rustic and salvaged, we are your new best friend. If you want uber scrumptious home décor worthy of endless social shares, then Futurology Inc. is your new go to home décor expertise.
My years as an interior designer and contractor started from humble beginnings with a small business that evolved from a traveling home show to a converted back yard garage. Oh, if I knew then what I know now! Ugh! Eventually, clients begged me to come into their homes and before I knew it, I was winning awards from the builder’s league. The next leg of my story has me getting a marketing director role. I loved each of these chapters in my life but something was still missing.
While taking a much needed extended time off, I was sprucing up my home (believe it or not, my home is always last in line) and I couldn’t find things I liked- you know where this is going. So yep, I made them. And then, it happened, it hit me like a ton of bricks! Get back to your roots. Go back, to go forward. Seems, so simple. But then again, they say history repeats itself and what better way to learn than to visit the past. And there you have it, the birth of Futurology. Creating the future with remnants of the past.
