Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram… Oh no! Ugh! And let’s not forget Pinterest too. I know, I know. It’s all so much anymore. The social revolution is awesome but overwhelming. WE love it and we hate it. It’s like a double-edged sword of sorts. As a business, you must sign up and participate or you will be lots in a sea of pixels. And for you the consumer, you crave and want to find all those pixelated morsels of goodies that you love! For both, you got to be in it to win it!
But then, you are inundated with sign-up pop-ups and before you know it your email is bursting at the seams. Those emails are all things you want to enjoy but it is just too much. Really, who has that kind of time? At best, we can open two or three a week of our absolute favorites.
Well, at Futurology we just want to let you have fun, no pressure. At this point, we do not have an email sign up. We will at some point but for now it’s just a no pressure zone. We want to create spaces that are a treat for your eyes and engage your thoughts. We want to give you places to share. Places that you want to follow and hang out at. Places that inspire creativity.
So, here’s the plan. On Facebook, we will be creating an environment where you can talk to us. You can use this space to see what we are up to AND you can get great advice and tips AND you will be inspired and learn. But wait there is more, you can get involved and participate in group discussions AND you can share your photos. Let’s say, you find a great piece of, who knows what in your good old pal Susie’s garage and you are just itching to do something with it. But what? Well, share it on Futurology’s Facebook page and we'll offer ideas and so can others.
That’s not all. Over on Twitter we will be sharing short updates with links, images and other random behind the scenes goodies. Like, what we do all day and how we do what we do. Pickin’, buildin’ and all. Instagram will be the place for sneak peek products previews. You can get first hand dibs on new products before they are released. And finally, on Pinterest. We have all things Futurology. We will have ideas, things we love, products, inspiration boards and lots of other goodies.
So, pick your social poison and join us on our journey. We are not perfect, so don’t expect perfection or you will be disappointed. We are just following our passion and trying to have fun along the way.
